Whenever I have written narratives for school in the past, I have felt pretty good about them. I like writing narratives because your writing about an experience you went though. I feel that since you were actually at the event your writing about, it makes it much easier to create a good story. So yeah, I enjoy writing narratives... It's fun writing your own story for others to read. To begin the process of writing my memoir, I composed A Letter to My Author-self. In a letter to my author self I talk about my emotional identify and how I will compose my writing. I think of myself as a very emotional person, who tends to keep it to myself. Heyo, this is my page for my Narrative Project for my English composition I Course with Sabatino Mangini. Here I'm going to be writing an introduction to my narrative with corresponding links to my Blog post 3,4,5,6 and 7, demonstrating the process that has shaped my author self. For Blog post 3 we had to write a letter to our author selves, our writers identity. This blog post helped figure out how you were going to go about writing. For blog post 4 we had to come up with a scene that involved three authors that we talked to about writing. For blog post 5 we had to write an emotional scene about a emotional time in our life. We had to have something that was symbolic in the story. Finally for blog post 6, we had to think about the counterfactual thinking in our memoir. We had to write about what could have happened if something were to not happen in our story, if things were to go differently.
For this Memoir Narrative project, I decided to write about the time me and my two friends got caught going to explore an abandoned asylum. Now this happened recently and it was an experience I wont forget...I'm that kid that does what she wants, and it has gotten me into some bad situations... Wow this makes me sound like a bad kid, I'm not a bad kid though... I just have a curious mind. Anyways, this experience opened my eyes and made me think... Enjoy the story.
