Hey, welcome to my Research Project page! Lets first talk about my past experiences with research papers. When I was assigned to write a research paper in high school I always hated it. I'm not the biggest fan of reading a bunch of texts about one topic. It can get boring after a while if your not researching something your truly interested in. I mean if you can chose your topic that's another story, researching something that grabs your eye is better then just reading about something you have to read... but then again, you could end up getting interested in something you have to research that you didn't think you would be interested in. so I guess with research projects you have to have good luck! I mean that's just what i'v come up with. For this research project thought, I hope to learn to love writing them. I hope i'm able to see that its not so bad having to do a research paper and that I may not be as bad at writing them as I think!
For my research project I will be talking about the Corona Virus, and how America can slow down the on-coming spread. Due to the virus I am unable to attend Sabatino's English Composition I class, Self-isolation is one way we as Americans are stopping the spread. Its a crazy time for everyone right now, and hopefully this project can open peoples eyes to the ugly truth about the virus and what we need to do to stop it!
For my project I chose my genre to be Op-Ed. I chose this genre because it allows me to have my own say about the topic i'm writing about. I feel like if your giving your own opinion about a topic it draws more people to want to read your work. People love arguments and seeing what others have to say. My citation style is Digital Media Citation. I chose this citation style because it goes along with the Op-Ed genre. My target audience for this project would be anyone wanting to gather some information about the Corona Virus. My main theme would be that we as a society need to follow the instructions that will help stop the spread of the Corona Virus.
